Recreational Soccer Rules

Coaches and referees please read the recently updated rules from Iowa Soccer. Below is part of the email from ISL explaining some changes.

Iowa Soccer League Level 3 Rules

Reminder that the Level 3 Central takes a common sense approach to team entry. Therefore, you may see a 12U team playing in an 11U division or a 15U team playing in a 14U division, for example. THIS IS ALLOWED! I've received several angry messages from coaches questioning why they are playing an "older" team and would appreciate if you guys could help manage some of this within your clubs.

Please review the GUEST PLAYER ALLOWANCE (Section 8), RESCHEDULE Policies (Section 4.6), and SCORE REPORTING (Section 10). The guest player and reschedule forms are updated and available on our website under the same dropdown as the schedule and rules. All Guest Player submissions and Game Reschedules must be submitted by Noon on Friday the weekend before the match.

We do NOT use scoresheets anymore. The HOME team coach is responsible for submitting the score via the schedule on Tourney Machine.

Please review the STANDARDS CHART on page 13 for any questions about forms of the game (7v7, 9v9 or 11v11), Match Length, field sizes, goal sizes, ball sizes, etc.

Recreational Soccer at Dowling Soccer Club

What is Dowling Recreational Soccer?

Welcome to Dowling Recreational Soccer. We provide a fun, safe and healthy game for ALL KIDS... Kids are different, and because they are different their physical, social and psychological needs are different.

We at Dowling Soccer Club recognize this and our programs are aimed at teaching the game of soccer and development of technical skills.

Dowling Soccer provides healthy activity through its recreational programs. These programs emphasize FUN, and de-emphasize winning at all costs. Every child is guaranteed playing time and the game is taught in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere.

Dowling Soccer Club is a growing organization. In the last five years we have almost doubled the number of kids that participate in our programs.

Our club focuses on the promotion of soccer to the parochial and public school children in the Des Moines area. Our job is also to make it fun, and instill in young players a lifelong passion for the sport, for god, and team appreciation.

We try to keep our program fees as affordable as possible. That is why our fee required to register for recreational soccer is $95. You will need to purchase a uniform from Soccer Connections at an additional cost of around $75-$100.

Thank you for your interest in Dowling Soccer Club. If you have any questions please send us an email.

NOTE: Registering your child does not guarantee a spot on a team. We will make every effort to place a player on a team. If there are not enough players to form a team or we have more players than we are allowed to roster, we will provide a refund. All decisions are at the discretion of Dowling Soccer Club and it's board members.
